Today, the State Minister of Railways, Raosaheb Patil Danve, has dedicated to the nation multiple railway projects, including the recently completed third line between Bandel and Magra stations, the conversion of the yard and the commissioning of the country’s largest electronic locking booth at Bandel. , no fewer than 1002 routes, change of electronic locking at Magra, renovation of the yard and commissioning of electronic locking at Adisaptagram. In addition, the minister also dedicated new station buildings including Electronic Lock at Chandannagar Station, New Station Building and Platform Shelter in Kamarkundu, New ROB at Kamarkundu Station, Extended FOB at Balarambati, Mirzapur Bankipur and Adisaptagram stations.

The minister also devoted himself to the nation Raised/Extended/Widened platforms at Adisaptagram, Kamarkundu, Balarambati and Mirzapur Bankipur stations, up loop line platform at Magra station, Extended Subway at Adisaptagram station. Danve also laid the foundation stone for the new Road Under Bridge at Kamarkundu station today via video conferencing. According to Eastern Railways, all projects related to Hooghly district of West Bengal are valued at Rs 254 crore.

Danve said the commissioning of the third line between Bandel – Magra, 6.99 km long, will ensure seamless traffic movement from Bandel to Bainchi and increase mobility on Howrah-Barddhaman Main Line. With the commissioning of the third line between Bandel-Magra, the world’s largest state-of-the-art electronic locking system has come into operation at Bandel Railway Station, he further said. In order to provide greater comfort to travelers in station grounds, the Eastern Railway zone has expanded several passenger facilities and amenities at several stations in Hooghly district, the minister added.

According to Eastern Railways, with the opening of the 995-meter-long Kamarkundu ROB on the state highway near Kamarkundu station, the link between Baidyabati-Tarakeswar-Champadanga in Hooghly district will be improved, increasing the average speed of the trains, increasing the convenience of transport passengers and freight, which in turn will accelerate the socio-economic development of the district.
